Principles

The test-it LEISHMANIA DOG is designed for the detection of Leishmania antibodies in canine whole blood, serum or plasma. After being absorbed into the cellulose pad, the Leishmania antibodies move and bind with gold-colloid complex of Leishmania antigen of the conjugate pad, forming antigen-antibody complex. This complex, then, forms antigen-antibody-antigene direct sandwich binding with the antigen of Leishmania antigens in the nitrocellulose membrane. The test results are shown on Control line (C) and Test line (T) by means of the principles of immunochromatography.
