Dietetic complementary feed for calves
EQUANOL M is an oral rehydration solution (ORS), rich in essential electrolytes and compatible with the milk feeding. EQUANOL M protects the intestinal wall, stimulates digestion via lactic ferments and supports the transportation of sodium for instance via glucose.
Particular nutritional purpose
Stabilisation of the water and electrolyte balance to support the physiological digestion. In the case of risk of digestive disturbance (diarrhoea), during and/or after it.
Instructions for use
- Calf: dissolve the contents of a pouch (42 g) in 1 l lukewarm water and mix.
Administer the reconstituted ORS, once to twice a day, during 1 to 7 day(s).
Composition
Dextrose, corn starch, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, potassium chloride, magnesium carbonate and products from processing of spices and seasonings: star anise.
Additives
Gut flora stabilisers: (4b1706) Enterococcus faecium DSM 7134 + Lactobacillus rhamnosus DSM 7133= 6x1010 CFU/Kg. Technological additives: kaolinitic clays free of asbestos (E559) 104,000 mg/kg.
Analytical constituents
Dextrose 66.6 %, crude protein 0.5 %, crude oils and fats 0.7 %, crude fibre 0.3 % and crude ash 26.9 %: sodium 4.6 %, potassium 1.5 %, chloride 5.7 %, magnesium 0.6 % and bicarbonate 5.1 %.
Energy: 487 kJ / pouch.
Osmolarity after reconstitution: 408 mosm / l water.
Storage
Store in a dry place, at ambient temperature, in the original packaging. To be used within 24 hours after reconstitution.
Precautions
It is recommended that advice from your veterinarian be sought before use or before extending the period of use. Do not administer with oral products containing tetracyclines or macrolides nor in the case of obstruction of the digestive system. For animals only. Keep out of reach of children.
